Todd Wean

Manager for Customer Support

Todd Wean grew up in Sykesville, MD spending his youth in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). When not busy with the BSA or CAP, he was hanging around his local airport Clearview (2W2). Todd found his love of aviation while at the airport and flying with his family and friends.

Todd later attend the Maryland Wing of the Civil Air Patrol Solo School where he would solo and pass his private written exam for the Private Pilots License.  With volunteer CFI members of the Civil Air Patrol, he completed his Private Pilot License. Todd attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.

Todd continued to volunteer with the CAP and spent many years on the Florida Wing Operations team. He spent most of his time involved with Aircraft Maintenance managing a fleet of up to 30 aircraft. Todd has also helped locate two crashed aircraft in his time as a CAP member as well as participating in numerous disaster relief missions as a Ground Team Leader and Mission Pilot. Since graduating college at ERAU, he has worked for multiple aviation companies such as AvantAir Inc, Sunrise Aviation, Aviation Partner Group, and Daytona Aircraft Services.

Todd has experience working in 14 CFR Part 91, 121, 135, 141and 145.  Todd has many years of experience as a hands on and dirty A&P mechanic. Over the past 8-10 years, he has been performing avionics installations’ and repairs.

Great for Super Petrel USA, his specialty has been Garmin Avionics. He is a G3X’pert. In early January, he will attend the Lockwood ROTAX training courses in Sebring Florida. His job description at Super Petrel USA will be inclusive aircraft re-assemblies, 25-hour aircraft inspection along with aircraft warranty work.

Todd is an Instrument Rated Private Pilot with over 2,700 hours of flight time. Todd is now on the What’s Up SPUSA Group to take Garmin and aircraft questions.
