Building The Super Petrel XP Part 2

Building The Super Petrel XP Part 2

The Super Petrel XP line of Next Gen aircraft from Scoda Aeronautica are now on their journey to America. The first two aircraft, N405XP & N683WG, have completed flight testing at Scoda Aeronautica in Ipeuna Brazil. The two aircraft are now poised for departure to Super Petrel USA, Ormond Beach Florida. Immediately behind these first two aircraft are the next two entering final assembly followed closely by many more. More on the building of the Super Petrel XP Part 2.

One of the more interesting facts about the new XP aircraft is the incredible level of experience, skill, and dedication to perfection in the process of building the Super Petrel XP. With over 20 plus years of building more than 400 aircraft, the results are clearly reflected in the production of the new XP. It would be difficult to imagine any new aircraft coming out of initial production to not encounter a “punch list” of items to be addressed, improved, adjusted, repaired, etc. However, for these initial two new XP aircraft, after many hours of engine runs, flight testing both off the factory grass runway and nearby lakes, there was not one single squawk on either aircraft. Not one.

We are aware that the initial production of the aircraft has taken longer than first estimated, please forgive us for being perfectionists. Scoda wanted it right the first time.

Back in November of 2022, we first introduced the new XP aircraft using a series of CAD drawings. The details depicted by the engineers at Scoda was incredibly good. Today, we can now see the actual aircraft, the unique design changes, and improvements as well as the beautifully finished product. What you cannot see is the “how do I fit”? To accomplish this, schedule a demonstration flight here in Ormond Beach in N405XP or with Wings of Gold Aviation, LLC in Virginia in N683WG. You will be amazed!
